Be Weird: Normal Isn't Working
Be Weird: Normal Isn't Working - Part 4: Weird People
There is a truth that has the power to transform every relationship you have—every person that you know is someone for whom Christ died. When you start to embrace this truth, you will never look at anyone you ever lay eyes on the same way again.
Bottom Line: You’ve never laid eyes on someone who didn’t matter to God.
It’s a lie so subtle we don’t even notice it. It goes something like this: “It’s normal to have mountains of debt. It’s normal to have unfulfilling relationships. It’s normal to struggle in your faith. It’s normal to give in to temptation.” We normalize the lie when we buy that car we can’t afford or plunge headfirst into relationship after relationship. All the while, we try to ignore the nagging feeling that something’s not right. God says there’s a better way, but getting there means we’ll have to be—well… weird.
In this 6-part series, we’ll see that God doesn’t want us to blend in with the crowd. Instead, He wants us to renovate our minds in such a way that it leads to a different trajectory in life. Let’s get weird!
