DNA: A Series About Who We Are
DNA: A Series About Who We Are; Part 1 - The First Link
As you read through the accounts of Jesus' life you can't escape this simple but often overlooked question, Why would Jesus spend so much time with people who were clearly not God fearing to the neglect of the more religious? As we explore Luke 15 to find the answer to this question, we'll uncover the driving force behind our church's past, present and future direction.
Bottom line: If Jesus liked people who were nothing like Him,
the church should like people who are nothing like them.
Deoxyribonucleic Acid—DNA, the thing that God has put inside of us that decides what we become. DNA is unchangeable, it’s what marks our identity. It’s inside of nearly every living organism. Animals have DNA. People have DNA. But churches have DNA too. It’s what God has put in us so we can become who we were meant to be.
In this three part series we’ll explore our DNA as a church. We’ll look at the things that make up who we are, what we’re about, and how that affects who we’re becoming.
