He's Coming To Town
He's Coming To Town: Part 1 - Jerusalem
It’s been going on for more than two thousand years in small towns and large cities alike. This idea of preparing our hearts and homes for the King who would change history is actually something that was going on long before Christ was even born.
Do you remember what it was like enduring the days leading up to Christmas as a kid? The anticipation, the waiting, and hoping for Christmas to hurry up and get here was part of what made it so special. That same dynamic is what made the first Christmas so extraordinary. For generations, men and women had been waiting anxiously for the birth of their Messiah with no assurance that they would live to see him. And like us, they probably wondered, “Is this really going to happen? After all, God has been silent for years. Has he forgotten about us?”
Do you have those same doubts? Do you feel like God even knows you exist? Do you wonder if it’s worth it to follow Christ? This Christmas we’ll walk through the cities in a kingdom waiting for a king and see that the Christmas story is actually our story.
