Own It: Part 1 - Let The Blames Begin
Option A: Take responsibility. Option B: Blame someone.
We’d like to think we have the strength of character to always choose option A. But more than likely, we default to option B. Owning your responsibility is no easy task, there are many factors stacked against you, but there is a way.
Bottom Line: We can make excuses or progress but we can’t make both.
Responsibilities: everybody has them—not everyone owns them. When we don't own our responsibilities, someone else has to pick up the slack. Neglect washing your dishes long enough and someone else eventually does it. Refuse to pitch in on childcare and your spouse is left to fill in for you. But it goes much further than dishes and laundry.
In this 4-part series, we’ll see what scripture says about owning responsibility for our lives. Let’s make 2019 the year we stop the finger-pointing and excuse-making, remove the "IR" in irresponsible, and just own it.
